Again and again it has been a long time since my last post.
I just finished my year four in medical and god gracious the result just came out today.
I don't know how to describe the feelings though.
It's like some kind of excitement and vivid-like like feeling.
Like I'm having a dream.
I still couldn't believe that I passed my year 4.
Yeah I know what kind of lousy student I am.
So there's no big hope or what not.
But alhamdullilah I passed :)
I think the last time I post was when I was in psychiatric posting.
and again thank god as all of my rotation passed their psychiatric posting.
Good job guys!
Then. short and challenging posting was coming.
Oh my god, you don't know what am I feeling.
It's too fast that you can't even processed what are you actually learning.
Each posting only last 2-3 weeks
But thank god, I had friends to rely on.
We had group discussion and everything become simplified and easier
especially for 'last minute' kind of person of me.
To think back, it's funny that during all these short posting I can actually become so obsessed with knitting, crocheting and embroidery stuff and sometimes drawing.
It's crazy! really!
Hahahaha
I would drag my time for study to knit, crochet and stuff.
We had like 3 weeks roughly and half of the weeks given was used to complete my so called 'art projects'.
It was so so so severe that my friends called my art student instead of medical student.
I think I'm better off as art student though hahaha
Lesson is, do a study group. It's never too late. You can still grab it! AS LONG AS YOU'RE NOT FINAL YEAR STUDENT.
I promise when I start final year soon, I will repent. PROMISE! I will be a good student.
To sum up the posting I've going on.
Right after we finished our psychiatric posting with bipolar case.
We start ENT posting right away the next day.
The lecturer was the best of the best.
Like they're cool but the get the job done.
Teaching are easily understood.
Thanks Dr, Tang, Dr. Chai, Dr.Soe and Dr Nazir. Oh Dr. Kelvin too though we only meet him on the first day and OT day.
You all did a great job. Trust me. Hahaha
But I won't choose ENT as my future.
It's just that cleaning, or seeing mucus and ear wax of others? Not my thing hahahaha
Presenting ENT Seminar |
It's just a detail part of what we had learnt throughout the years of medical school
But ....
It scares the shit out of me.
Because Dr told us that if we fail OSCE mean we fail the whole posting.
Somehow, during OSCE exam I think I messed up 2 station. Like seriously 2 station.
I was unable to identify P. Knowlesi.
That shit sucked the life out of me. I even question the question given itself because Prof said it was hard to differentiate P. Knowlesi from microscope viewing and what not. Then, all my friends came up with 'Kapit' as the clue that the organism viewwd was P. Knowlesi.
I was like, noooooooooooo still you cannot identify organism using Kapit as a clue. That was wrong.
Still in denial haha
but whatever, I don't know that's P. Knowlesi but I passed my CDL posting. Next time, I will study harder okay!
The second station was on Minimal Change Disease. I just confused the part where I should write the diagnosis and the cause.
Well, as always the confuse me.
and our very last posting before we start our elective was ophthalmology.
Let me be honest, this is my favourite posting.
Even before we start, even before I'm in medical school, even before I'm taking my PMR and SPM.
Yes.
It's too much but that's the truth though.
I've been waiting for this posting for so so so long.
I like eyes. Really, really, really, really (read: lili, lili, lili, lili) like eyes.*I hope in few years I would understand why I wrote this as lili hahaha
I even volunteer for class leader. That's how I'm so excited. Haha
In Normah Medical Centre for opthalmology BST |
But I enjoy this posting the most.
I even feel like joining Prof Lim's OT sometimes if he allow me. Maybe I should ask. Should I?
That's it my summary for each short posting. I know my summary is very short. That's me I'm good at cutting everything short hahaha
The great thing is all of my batchmates was promoted to year 5. That's the best thing ever! See you guys in 2 months :)
This Saturday, we'll left Sarawak for elective in Tawau Hospital. Let's see what would happen there soon. Bye!
